Money Management Institute Announces New Officers, Executive Committee Members, and Governors

NEW YORK, NY – May 1, 2024 – The Money Management Institute (MMI) has announced the election of its new Officers and appointment of its Executive Committee Members, as well as three additions to its Board of Governors.

The MMI Board has elected Jim Devaney, Head of U.S. Distribution at PGIM, as Treasurer and Jill Brown, President, Principal Funds Distributor of Principal Asset Management as Secretary. They join Anne Steer, Head of Distribution at Congress Asset Management as Chair, and Chair-Elect Brendan Clark, CEO at Clark Capital. Eric Koestner, General Partner at Edward Jones, completes his term as Chair and will now serve as Chair Emeritus. Additionally, Keith Glenfield, Northeast Division Executive at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, completed his term serving as an officer.

“Assuming the role of Chair of the MMI Board of Governors is a privilege, offering me the chance to contribute meaningfully to our organization’s mission and goals,” Ms. Steer said. “I look forward to partnering with the MMI Board, Executive Committee, and our esteemed members to drive positive change within the communities we serve.”

There are four newly named members of the MMI Executive Committee: 

  • Maureen Bromwell, Chief Marketing Officer, Northern Trust Asset Management
  • Brad Jung, Head of North America Advisor and Intermediary Solutions, Russell Investments
  • John McDonough, Head of U.S. Wealth Management Intermediaries Distribution, Invesco
  • Michael Serchen, Director of Managed Accounts, Anchor Capital Advisors

They join continuing Executive Committee members Kara Julian, Managing Director, of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and Scott Kilgallen, Managing Director, Head of NA Intermediary of Neuberger Berman; and MMI Officers Anne Steer, Brendan Clark, Eric Koestner, Jim Devaney, Jill Brown, and MMI President and CEO Craig Pfeiffer.

Three firms have been elected to the MMI Board as part of a Board rotation policy that allows more member firms to participate in MMI leadership. The new firms being added to the Board and their representatives are:

  • Allspring Global Investments: John Moninger, Head of U.S. Distribution 
  • Envestnet: Jean Heath, Principal Director, Asset Management Relations 
  • Voya Investment Management: Kyle Thompson, Senior Vice President, Business Development Manager
